Hey, so I'm pretty new to the Dreamwidth scene (started in January 2019 and so far I've only been in one murdergame and one longterm), but I've always had an interest in both RP specifically and creative writing in general. Here are some notable threads I've done that I think get across my style of writing fairly well:

If you like what you read enough that you'd want to thread with me, check out my personal musebox [community profile] gabby_grab_bag. Feel free to hit it up (after reading over my permissions under the cut).

Roleplay Style
◉ Formatting:
I default to using action boxes, but I don't mind switching over to prose to match the style of somebody else I'm RPing with. Overall, I feel action boxes can be a punchier format for comedic threads- while prose works better for dramatic threads.

◉ Tagging Speed:
On most days, it's pretty uh... abysmally slow. Hoping to get better about it, though.

◉ Tag Length:
A lot of the time I lean towards "too long" rather than "too short", so please let me know if you want me to cut down on the words to make it more manageable for you to respond.

◉ Backtagging:
Yes, absolutely. In fact, if you're the one waiting on a tag from me, I'd like to know. There's a very good chance I'm still interested in replying to an older thread and I only forgot it in the shuffle of keeping up with more current tags.

◉ Threadjacking:
Run this by me and the other person first. Personally, I prefer splintering in multi-person threads instead of keeping to a single-file line.

◉ Fourthwalling:
I'm pretty ambivalent about this. In dramatic RP, I do feel that it's more interesting to have both characters treating the other as equally real. But on the other hand, I don't have it in me to deny somebody the ability to say "holy shit is that Goku" in a non-serious thread.

Subject Matter
◉ Violence:
There's no real need to ask in advance if you just wanna do a quick punch, but I feel full-on fight scenes should have some OOC negotiation running parallel to the thread.

◉ Injury:
Permanent injuries should be discussed beforehand, of course. Anything that would affect movement and speech, regardless of permanence, would also need to be run by me first as that would have a tangible impact on my RP.

Impermanent injuries that don't impact speech or movement, though, like a black eye or other bruises? Fair game- no need to ask permission.

◉ Death:
Ask me first- but unless we're in a murdergame, the answer's probably no.

◉ Romance:
I'd like it if you'd ask me OOC about shipping first, so we can be on the same page and make an agreement about what we both want out of it in terms of dynamic and plotting.

I won't do incest or adult/minor relationships so please don't request those from me. Of course, I reserve the right to shoot down any other pairing suggestion for whatever reason (either permanently, because I'm not interested in it, or temporarily, because I think we need more time to develop CR beforehand), and obviously you're allowed to do the same for me.

◉ Sexual Content:
Explicit sexual content is pretty much off the table because I don't feel comfortable writing NSFW threads out in the open.

That being said, I'm fine with having adult characters talk about sex or imply that it happened offscreen- just, as with shipping, hit me up about it beforehand if you want to imply a sexual relationship with one of my muses.

◉ Telepathy:
This depends. I'd like to know the details of a character's telepathy ahead of time (such as what thoughts can be read, and if there's a distinct feeling/awareness that somebody's in their mind) before I agree to thread something out involving it.

◉ Horror Elements:
Sure, sign me up. I always appreciate a nice creepy atmosphere, surreal imagery, cloying uncertainty, and inventive monster designs.

But I should bring up that the one big body horror thing that unsettles me to the point it crosses the line into real visceral discomfort is body trypophobia- basically, close clusters of holes in living beings. It's especially bad if there's stuff that comes out of the holes- like the way surinam toads reproduce.

◉ Required Warnings:
CSA (childhood sexual assault). Please keep detailed accounts out of the threads I'm in. I can generally handle passing mentions of past trauma so long as there's a subject warning.
